Waymarking Around MetroWest Boston

Places: Dedham, Walpole, Needham, Wellesley, Newton – In this trip, several waymarks were added that included benchmarks, churches and the Animal Rescue League.

One day, I went to P. F. Chang’s Restaurant. One thing that this chain provides is a gluten-free menu, which I have been seeing more of, lately. This category might have made me more aware of gluten issues.

Several benchmarks were waymarked. This disk on a bridge base carrying I-95/Route 128 over the Charles River is threatened. The Route 128 widening project is marching its way north and it might mean that this bridge will either be reworked or replaced.

This waymark, the Pine Ridge Pet Cemetery, is part of the Animal Rescue League property. One of the internments is of a famous dog, Igloo, which was Admiral Byrd’s companion in the arctic exhibitions.
