Place: Chelmsford, Fletcher Granite

As part of a tour arranged by the Southern New England Chapter of the Society for Industrial Archeology, I was able to see the large quarry of Fletcher Granite Company. Details will be put on the chapter’s web site. I was able to waymark it as an active quarry. I came late, myself, but I was lucky to be able to make it at all and join one of the groups, since I jury session that day was short and it was easily a 30 mile drive to the location.
