Waymarking Through Mansfield and Foxborough

This was an afternoon to evening trip that took me through the growing communities of Mansfield and Foxborough.  It was another chilly but sunny day, with little wind.  Highlights:

I couldn’t believe that Gillette Stadium was still available, so I grabbed that one . It was fun to see the children play on the astroturf squares.  Some time, I’ll go through the museum there.  I haven’t been to a game in this stadium, but I was at a couple games in the old ‘Foxboro/Sullivan/Schaeffer Stadium.

The Mansfield Airport was a nice one to add .  There were several planes taking off or landing while I was there.  There was a painting by the local girl scouts about an event that took place at the airport about pilots who were women.

The pole on the Mansfield South Common with direction arrows to all the Mansfields of the world was also fun .  I’m not too sure if all of them accurately point to the location, but the thought was pretty neat.  I couldn’t find any information about who put it up.
